My Baby Sister's Wedding
Well, my sister got married just over a week ago! She married a good man named Kevin, who Joe and I have known as long as my sister has. The wedding was very nice, and a lot of our family came to celebrate with us. The wedding was in the MSC (Memorial Student Center) on A&M Campus. My sister was absolutely beautiful! The wedding was at 1:30 in the afternoon, and we had to be out of the room by 5:30. It did not take long to clean up, and was nice to get that part over with quickly. Then we got to visit with some of the family that drove in and was staying the night. That was really neat. I remember it being a bit weird at our wedding, since we just left after the reception (which I know id normal) and didn't get to visit with a lot of people very much at all. It was neat to be on this side of it - though I probably had as much hustle before the wedding, afterwards I got to enjoy being around family.
My sister let me make the Groom's cake. It was chocolate with strawberry filling, and it was all gone by the end. She also had a chocolate fountain with pretzels, cherries, strawberries, and marshmallows to dip in it. That was very tasty! This picture was before the wedding (the crockpot wasn't there later).
I'm really glad that my sister got married while we happened to be living in the same town. I'm also blessed that I got to know the man she chose to spend the rest of her life with - that would have been much more difficult if she had already moved away when she met him.
